Shirley Christie

Shirley Christie, 72, of Princeton, IN. passed away on Saturday, December 9, 2023, at the RiverOaks Health Campus of Princeton, IN. She was born on Wednesday, November 21, 1951, in Russellville, KY to Charles and Laura (Morgan) Robinson both of whom have preceded her in death.

Shirley is a 40-year resident of Gibson County and was a nurse with the Deaconess Healthcare system for several years. She attended the Hillside Methodist church.

Shirley is survived by 2 sons: Jody (Angela) Christie of Hazleton, IN and Timothy (Jennifer) Christie of Foutain Town, IN.  Other survivors include 5 brothers: Steve Robinson, Larry Robinson, Charles “Ollie” Robinson, Bill Robinson and Bobby Joe Robinson, 3 sisters: Judy Peach, Elsie Clem, Linda Major and 5 grandchildren.

She is preceded in death by her parents, brothers: Roy and Bobby and sisters; Edna, Bonnie and Sandy.

It was Shirley’s request that she be cremated so cremation has occurred and there will be a time of visitation with the Chistie family from 11:00 am until the Celebration of life service scheduled to taken place has at 1:00 PM on Saturday, December 30, 2023. at Doyle Funeral Home, located at 520 S. Main Street, Princeton, IN 47670.
