Ruth Ann Brown

Ruth Ann Brown, 90, of Princeton, IN, passed away on Friday, March 1, 2024, at Deaconess Gateway hospital in Newburgh, IN. She was born on Monday, October 2, 1933, to Darwin S. and Ruth Ann (Kendall) Boyle in Princeton, IN.  

 Ruth was a long-time area resident and a member of the Columbia General Baptist Church of Princeton. Ruth was a homemaker and enjoyed working puzzle books, cooking and going out to eat. On June 27, 1953, in Princeton, IN, she married Chester Brown, who preceded September 1, 2001. 

Ruth is survived by one son, Christopher Brown, of Greenville, IL and four grandchildren: Ashly Whiteford of Kalispell, MT, Jessica (Joe) Stewart of Princeton, WV, Alicia Brewer of Billings, MT. and Jason Brewer of Princeton, IN,   three great grandchildren, numerous nieces and nephews.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Chester, daughter, Robin G. Brewer, and brothers Joe, Roy, and Carl Boyle.

It was Ruth’s desire that she be cremated and her cremains interred in Columbia White Church Cemetery next to her husband, Chester.

There will be a time of visitation with the family on Saturday, March 9, 2024, from 11:00 am until time of service at 1:00 PM at the Columbia General Baptist Church in Princeton, IN with Pastor Ron Marsh officiating. Interment of ashes will take place immediately following the service.
