Marvin Anderson

Marvin Huitt Anderson, 88, of Princeton, Indiana, passed away peacefully on Sunday, December 24, 2023. 

            He was born August 30, 1935, in Hugoton, Kansas, the son of Webb and Lucille (Flummerfelt) Anderson.   Marvin served in the U.S. Navy from 1956 to 1959.  On November 23, 1960, he married Frances Enlow in Lancaster, Illinois.  He learned about electronics in the Navy and worked several years for General Electric.  He then worked several years in restaurant management before returning to electronics.  He installed and maintained electronic message centers from massive stadium jumbotrons to time and temp signs at country banks.  Marvin attended First General Baptist Church in Princeton, Indiana where he taught Sunday school and served in the children’s bus ministry for many years. 

Left to cherish his memories are; three children, Sheryl Haller (Darin) of Newburgh, Indiana, Brian Anderson (Maryellen) of Baton Rouge, Louisiana, and Brad Anderson of Columbus, Indiana; five grandchildren, Christian Hinojosa, Rachel and Sadie Haller, and Grant and Chloe Anderson; and several nieces and nephews.

            Preceding Marvin in death was his parents; wife, Frances; daughter, Coleen; and three brothers, Dean Flummerfelt, L.E. (Andy) Anderson, and Don Anderson.

            Visitation will be Friday, December 29, 2023, from 10:00 - 11:00 am until the time of service at 11:00 am at Bethel Memorial Church, 1520 S Main Street, Princeton, Indiana.  Burial will follow a family luncheon in Highland Memorial Cemetery, 1827 College Drive, Mt.
